Madeline's Socks

Madeline's
Colors
I made these socks
for my sister because the yarn colors matched her eventing cross country
colors. I love using Lorna's Laces for sock yarn because they come in awesome
color combinations and they are washable. With these socks I knit them from the
toe up until I ran out of wool, and they came out to be almost knee high.

wise and purl across, turn. Row 2: Yo knit across to st before Yo (last two
st), turn. Continue making pairs of 2 st until you have 9 pairs on either side.
Knit to first pair, knit first st of pair, turn. Yo, purl across to first pair,
purl first st of pair, turn. Yo, knit across to first yo, slip 3, knit the same
3 together, turn. Yo, purl across to first yo slip 3, knit same 3 together,

are knitted.
LEG
Use
the extra st and knit it together with first st of next row to prevent a gap.
Continue in pattern on first 2 needles; at the end of the second
needle, decrease other extra st. Begin the pattern at the same row
on the second two needles as is on the first two needles, 8 pattern
repeats around leg. Continue in pattern until almost out of yarn and finish
